Happy New year!

my new years resolution will be to go on a date! not get serious or do anything extreme just to get out and go have coffee with a guy!
I was thinking about dating as a youth! when I was a teenage I read books like I Kissed Dating Goodbye and I really only wanted to date one time and marry that person (which is what I did the first time around) I still feel that love is a great feeling but its just a feeling and marriage and life with another person is so much more then that! that is what I want that thing past the twiterpated stage that glue that holds 2 sinful people together no matter what that as long as you are focused on God and on your family that it will all work out...
now thinking about dating i don't want to go into it with the thought that I can only date one time and that's it. I used to be so stressed about getting married and having kids that it was like I must marry the first person that comes along that wants me as you never know it might never happen again! lol (I used to pray Lord please let me live or don't have the rapture happen until I'm married and then it was please don't come until I have a baby! LOL) I don't have any regrets marrying my hubby but as we get older and things change about us so do our choices!
I like the thought that I can date a guy and say no this is not working and move on! I get so stressed about hurting other peoples feelings! I have been on a dating site for a month now and when guys want to chat or want to meet right off the bat I'm not ready for that but I catch myself almost wanting to go on the date just not to hurt their feelings!
I did that a lot in my marriage.. just give in just do what he says to make him stop yelling, don't say anything you will regret so I would say nothing. I need to find my voice and now as long as my partner and I are strong in each other I should be able to say what I feel or get mad!
One thing I'm working on is this dream/fantasy that things will change in a heart beat and that my ex and I can make it work again! today he stopped by (scared me half to death! lol) and just in talking he said he was playing WOW a lot less! the first thing that went through my head was your not playing WOW then why are we still apart! lets get back together and make this work! your better know! LOL its like no he still has not worked on any of the issues he has with you. he still plays other games (xbox) nothing has changed in the patterns of miscommunication between us and he still doesn't treat me like his queen! LOL there are still addictions to work out and #1 is his walk with God has not even begun!
I thought of the verse Your desire will be for your husband and he will rule over you. Gen 3:16 Pastor Mark Gunger talked about this and how part of the curse of the fall of man (and woman) is we will desire our husbands. Its one reason girls keep going back to abusive men its just programed in us! I really had to pray and as much as it hurts me I prayed that God would take my desire of my ex away that if we were to ever get back together its because my ex is in a relationship with God first and that he would pursue me and desire me. do it in a healthy way!

God is writing on my heart

Wow Christmas is just around the corner! I have so much to do! I also have to meet with my ex and lawyers next week and court on the 20th! ugg I hate having to deal with this before Christmas but would love it if it could all be worked out! lol

this last week was hard and I keep thinking about what if.. what if my ex changes and is nice to be again what if I had tried to do more! ect and God spoke to me and said He wanted to write on my heart! He wanted to take darrells name off my heart and put his own name on my heart! when I looked at my heart Darrells name was written there and it felt like it was there in stone like something that would not be easy to change but then I realized it was me that had put it there and once I gave that to God it turned to sand and blow away! when we let God in He can do awesome things in our lives.

Im working on focusing on God as my lover and on my need to make others happy. I read this verse today and wow I need to tattoo it on my heart! "Thats Right. Because I your God have a firm grip on you and I'm not letting go I'm telling you dont panic I'm right here to help you." Isaiah 41:13

Cleaning and being overwhelmed

Cleaning - I have been in the middle of cleaning out our old house to sell it! I had to sort through trash my ex left behind and and take everything out that was mine and try to remember all he took. its been a long, hard and very over whelming couple of weeks! then after everything was dealt with then I needed (with some great help) to clean the place! it took over 2 hrs to vacuum and sweep! plus mow the lawn that was not done all summer and wash walls, clean kitchens.. when I was in my ex's room, the one he used for playing WOW and for doing everything he wanted to do in hiding, it was hard to be in that room. he had changed the lock so i couldn't get in so its been a while since I have been in that room.. At first I felt an overwhelming presance of lust and bad things... but I started to pray and it felt so good to clean the room! to see all the dirt come off the walls and out of the carpet. It felt like through God I was cleansing the room from all the evil that was done in there! and I felt like wow God is so good and so big! if my ex would ever come back to God then he would be clensed and could be washed clean..
It also helped cleaning the house in every room to let it go! there have been some bad times in the house but lots of good! all three of my boys were born in this house! it was our first home!

Now today Im just overwhelmed! Im so blessed that through God we have a buyer for our house! and it should be sold this week! I have low funds but Im done Christmas shopping for the boys! I just realised yesterday when my ex asked for money to buy something that its not my respinability! I have been with him for 14 yrs so I forget that I dont have to listen to him any more that I need to let that go! Im not getting child support as of yet so Im paying for school supplies, hot lunches and field trips! b day party gifts and b days! school pictures and food and clothes! I dont have money to buy things for my ex! even when its only $13! :P

Im learning very slowly that I can be strong and that I need to work on boundaries with the one person I have never had them with!

Ransomed Heart

I had a great session in counseling today! its great to work on me and what God can and is doing in my life! lately i have been so happy! and then the inner me freaks out! I worry that someting bad will happen if Im too happy! I know where that comes from and the root of it so its telling satan to get behind me and the last few days when I feel freaked out I say out loud "this is the day which the Lord has made I will rejoyce and be glad in it!" and that really helps! I have no idea what tomorrow will be like but today and right now Im happy and I will rejoyce in God for that!

wow what a great short read! so much is in this! to know I matter and can have an impact with my Father God is just the best thing!

I have been so overwhelmed with courts and judges and lawyers, then trying to balance that with God time and me time, with doing stuff with and for the boys! cooking and baking for their lunches for school and play dates and activities. now there is going to be all sorts of discussions concerning the house and finishing the dividing of stuff!I cant wait for this all to be over so its just be hanging with my boys and being a great mom and etching out time for me to maybe work on christmas cards ect!

my sister in law made a great post about giving your best to your family like you give to friends, work and everything else! and that has really blessed and helped me! to remember the day starts at night! (In Genesis it said God made the evening and the morning and that was the first day) to be refreshed in the evening after a long day is really hard being a single mom! I just want them in bed! lol to not come out to talk and rn around! but there is a time to turn off the TV and just listen to what they have to say and treat them with respect! my kids have taught me so much about putting others before my self! that its ok if they make something that is not perfect!

ok thats it for now! just the things on my heart!

Prayer

I was reading my sister in laws blog and she posted this blog post about prayer.. there have been times where I need prayer and I will say please pray my ex will move out and that the divorce will go smoothly ect. and being a christian i know some people dont want to pray for a divorce they would rather pray we get back together.. so after reading this blog post and seeing how a 2 yr old prays its like yes I can pray and just say Jesus. Mommy. Daddy! and its good enough!

I pray in toughns every now and then when I dont know what to pray for and that helps me release emotions and just allow the Holy spirit to pray for me..

this Sunday at church we read Eph 1 and its all about prayer and its like wow! praying that God would make you intelligent and discerning in knowing Him personally! what a thing to pray over people! and that your eyes are focused and clear so you can see what He is calling you to do! so if you need help on what to pray over others this is a great chapter!

after reading that we should bless those that curse us its more then just saying you forgive someone its also about blessing them! do you know how hard it is to bless the uncle that molested me! or my ex and his mistress?!!! its also freeing and when the bitterness starts to creep in and wants to take hold I say through clenched teeth "Lord Bless..." its the hardest thing to do but i feel so much better and I feel like the devil looses when he cant find a hold in my heart for bitterness!

I also was worrying about what if i bless my ex and that goes against me! so say I ask God to bless him and then i loose the custody case or something like that! but God showed me that when you walk in darkness you stay in darkness and when you walk in light you stay in light so when I bless him its not changing darkness into my light but trying to show my ex the light.. it doesnt take from me or change me. its just something that i can do to show God to my ex.. no matter how he responds to it.

Powerless to God Power

This last week my ex wont let me come get stuff from our house.. its been very frustrating to have him not call me back or not answer the door when i go to the house. I just want my stuff! my crafting stuff and storage! i want curtains and photos for the walls to help finish making my new place a home!

I also stress what if something makes him mad and he destroys all my stuff?

I was reading the Mars Hill blog and a Pastor Dave said this

"There’s good news today: God has a plan! And his plan is good and his plan isn’t one-dimensional and finite like yours because all you can really do with your plan is figure out your best days. You can only control the things you can control. So not only can you not control outside influences, you don’t have any sort of capacity to control evil. But God’s plan is a good plan."

Here I'm letting God provide for me then I look down and stop having faith! I will keep calling and trying to get my stuff but I know God will look after me and I have to let it go! give it to God and go from there! I might not be in control and I might feel powerless but I have to give that to God and then it feels so much better! keep giving these things to my Daddy knowing He is looking out for me!

I also remind myself what my great friend said.. only you can save yourself! I keep hoping someone will come along and help me! pull the ex out of the house by his ear and let me run in and get everything I need... Im learning that Im not powerless and I dont have to wait for others..

What gives you identity and acceptance as a woman? What gifts (serving, organizing, encouraging, teaching, etc.) do you have that people notice or that you use behind the scenes? What things do you see others doing and wish you could do? All these questions get to the heart of where we place our identity.

I have lost my identity for sure! I thought it was in being a wife I loved being a wife! now I focus on being a mom! I do get jeliouse reading my sister in laws blog! lol she writes better then me.. but she is writing about other things and this is just my journal its not something witty or mainstream. I need to remind myself what i loved about me and what I can reinvent my self into! and find it all in my Daddys arms! being a child of God!

protecting and providing

This week God let me know that he has been teaching me that He is my protector! there have been some very scary times that God has brought me through this past year! When i went up to Kelowna it was a time if refreshing and down time.

This week God has been teaching me that He is my provider! what an awesome thing to know and have god provide for you!!! there is no limit to what God can give you! In the last week I found a place it has 2 bedrooms and is very big! I only found this place through God! Then we had no car once we got back from Kelowna to Mission! and the Lord helped me find a Van! a friend lent it to me for as long as we need! I have been so overwhelmed with donations and things people have given me! from gift cards to Superstore and Starbucks! (my two fav places!) to a Vacuum and dishes!

when i got back into town I thought i could have a few friends over and move everything from the house to my new place! man was i wrong! lol. my ex will only let me move a few things at a time and only lets me and one other person in the house. or brings me stuff! its been so slow! but Im trusting God and I have gotton a lot so far! I keep just wanting this part to be over with! the moving and dividing of stuff! how do you divide 10 years of living with someone?!!! I'm letting him take most everything he wants just to get it over with... less is more i keep telling my self!

Im also overwhelmed with school for the kids and trying to get them out of the house and doing things with them when all i want to do is curl up in a ball and not move! plus changing my address and getting things worked out with money and then I have lawyer meetings and counceling! but I have been making time to read my bible and pray and trust God! giving my life to him daily and letting Him deal with my day! He is way better at it then me!

I went to church today! I have been going to an Allinace church in Kelowna and the music is so hard for me to get through as its not my fav style! lol. (think of the people that think they can sing on American idol and cant!) and for some reason Churches freak me out! lol I hate going to a church building and having church orgenized. for the past 5 years I have been going to The Bridge which is an off shoot of the Vineyard and it feels more like people just hanging out listening about God and has great music! But I did find some great values and mesages at the Alliance church and learned to have a happy heart no matter where i go!

so today it was nice to be back at my home church! meeting in a barn and worshiping God through great music and preaching! One of the moms chatted with me at coffee time and let me know me and the boys were missed! so that was good to hear. She started talking about her pain in her maridge and how brave i am for leaving the sistuation i was in...

I sit here and I have mixed feelings! yes Im brave / scared out of my mind! but if there was anything i could do to help this couple it would be to tell them to turn around! make it right ! work it out!!!! Im so lonley! I ach for a man to talk with and share my life with and snuggle and hold hands with! I pray to God that He would transform the man i had or bring me a man after His heart! i dont want to be single for the rest of my life! but I second guess my self and worry.. I thought this would be forever and it didnt turn out that way.. what if I choose someone wrong again!

I have felt a cord between me and my ex... just as God said 2 would become one... I know and felt everything that was going on! I would wake up in the night and know He was doing something he shouldnt. after we broke up but were still living in the same house I still felt that twinge.. but I couldnt do anything about it as he was out in the open about what he was doing!

When i came back from kelowna something had changed! there is no more cord! I feel like Im dead to him. I feel like he cut the cord some how but maybe it was me. I dont know! I still pray for him and pray he will choose God. but im learning to give Darrell to God and take my self out of the equation!

So ya! God is my protector and provider and please give 110% before you evne think about leaving your spouse!

My thoughts on Joe

Ok God its Sept 1st and still no idea of a place to live! school starts on tuesday... Im so stressed and worried! but trying not to be!

so last week in church they had the story of Joseph and Potiphers wife (Gen 39) in verse 20 the master put Joe in jail and it didnt say Joe fought it.. all the master did was hear his wives side of the story and that was that.. Joe didnt fight or plead his case.. that really hit home with me!

when I think someone has done me wrong i want to make sure people know my side! that they know what that other person said was not truth! when I hear my ex talking to his mom Im like she doesnt believe all that does she?! I must call her and tell her the truth!

its not that I have to be right and that the other person is wrong... I just feel like its an injustice that I have to right! so Im going to really watch that and just let it go! praying that people will see how I am by the way I act out my life and not need to make sure my side is heard.

Sometimes I think I dont have a filter that I just say every thought I have.. that can be a good thing as most people know Im going to tell you the truth if its good or bad! lol but it can be bad too when i say before I think! I need to pray way more and wait before i speak!

Im still trying to wait on God! Someone told me God is always on time (His time) but rarely early! lol thats about right! i applied for a place i loved and I didnt get it now Im applying to a new place I like but it can take a few days to be told if I got it or not! grr more waiting! but im doing all I can and Im leaving the rest up to God. He knows that i want the kids to be home in time for school and not to feel rushed He knows I want to get moved in asap to a new place. Now I just need to see what he has in store for me!

I have been stretched and Im growing so much these last few years! I love lists and plans! it helps me stay calm and in control! grrr but God is showing me He is in control! I have grown so much! I used to do the last thing of what my family wanted! lol if they liked something i didnt! they just didnt get me I thought! this week I asked my parents and sister to look at basement suits and I have to trust their judgment in finding a place for me and my kids to live at! and now my dad is looking at cars for me! its such a big thing for me to trust others! but Im doing it and growing!!!

Now that Im not constantly having to think or worry about my ex's moods i finding I can think more about me! I realised my Father in Law died last year and I have not had time to morn that or feel anyhting about it. I have been so busy being worried about my spouse and how he was taking the death of his Father (he has not been taking it well) that I thought i needed to be the strong one and it has distracted me from my feelings and from me dealing with it.

I also have been trying to deal with the anger of him dieing! I get mad and blame him for my husbands faults.. Its not right I know but its easy to do. If only his dad showed him more love maybe my husband wouldn't be this way. If only my father in law hadn't died then my husband wouldn't have had the affair... if only...

Im letting the If onlys go and giving them to God life is hard but God has really helped me learn to rock back and forth and not worry about always having a list and always being on one strait line all the time!

Lessons from God

The last few days I have been really lost.. I hate not having a plan! I feel tired and sad when i dont have a list that I can work with!

I have done everything i can with BC housing and the Government to get things rolling for money and housing and now I have to wait! Its the hardest thing for me to do!

Yesterday i just started praying and letting God know i trust Him but also making sure I was doing all i could do! after a nap God told me Be still and know I am God! So I was like ok thanks! I will wait! (Im like a kid with ants in her pants! lol bouncing up and down and not being really still) then my ex called to talk to the kids and all I wanted to do was talk to him and ask what was being done for him to move out or for our house to sell! i just wanted to take the lead from God!

I held my self in check and didnt talk about everything i wanted to and just let it go! then today after talking to my social worker I found new hope that I might not need to wait for BC housing I might have enough in my budget to rent a 2 bed room place! it will be small for me and three boys! lol but it might just work!

I realized I was still putting faith in my ex! I was still giving him the lead in my life and I cant have that right now I need to trust and rely on God as my husband for now!

Lost Letters

I dont know if my .. what do i call him my husband, my ex. what do you call someone you have been with for 14 yrs that you felt you would spend your life with and now he wants nothing to do with you?... i dont know if he will ever see this blog or if i care.. I need to journal more about my feelings.. This is about me and what im going through! not a bashing of another person..

last night i dreamed of him. dreamed about making out with him and his new beard. like he was a teddy bear that loved me. How do i tell my brain and my heart to turn off my love for him? I have always felt that love is more then a feeling its a choice! I choose to love him and forgive his faults.

He is the only person i have ever given all of me to and he took that gift and throw it away. he took his love and gave it to any one that passed by him with no concern to the gift i gave him. how can i ever trust another human as long as i live if the one that promised to be with me in sickness or health in good days and bad days took those vows and didnt mean them like I did?

What God has joined together let no man pull them apart... i think about this a lot! He and I were one person! i felt when he did something against our marriage.. how can i just cut that off! knowing when he is sinning against us and God? I wish life was like the movies where music would play to compliment your feelings and you could just say this long meaningful speech and he would hear it and fall down crying and turn his life around and come back to God and work with everything in him 100% for us and our kids..

today im feeling numb and tired and sad and wish i had a husband...

Flower Soft

I took a class on using flower soft as I had heard that it was hard to use. It was really easy and fun! It pops out your flowers and takes very little time.
The more glue you use the more "flowers" you will get the less glue the less "flowers". you can use a glue like Aleene's or flowersoft has a glue as well.

I loved these cards! so fun and easy to make! just cut 1 inch squares from tissue paper and squish around a pencil add a dot of glue to the bottom and stick it where you want it! I traced the hearts from my nesties!
The full one I made for my hubby and the pink one I made for a friend :)

Craft Fair

Candles I made after seeing one of the SU newsletters! the holders are made with altered cereal boxes!
Here is my table! with all my goodies! Craft fairs can be tricky some sell a lot some don't sell anything. a lot of people love your work but don't buy. I just hope with all the catty's I sold Someone will want to do a show!

It was my Hubby's b day this past week so I helped the kids make these cards! they love their kids cuttlebug! The noddles are the sun! lol. Claeb (3.5 yrs old) wanted sparkles on the cars and has the bike jumping over the cars!
Lincoln is 2 and he placed the car and the alien and the UFO! he had so much fun! They picked out the colours for their cars as well as what dies they wanted cut out for the cards! I love stamping with my boys!

Coffee Swap

Here is a card I made and the finished bag! I added a take out box in the baggie and filled it with coffee themed things. Like the Riley drinking coffee stamp, Liquid Applique and sugar glitter! I added Mocha scent to the cards as well! I love coffee so this was a fun swap to be in!

Here is a magic card I made for a swap! you pull the tab and you get a colored dress! I loves this paper from Basic Gray and I loved this stamp from Micheal's! I got the stamp from a dear friend! it was so nice! I made these at work when I was board! and I loved that I had a crop a dile for the eyelets! its so quiet to do eyelets at work! mwaahaaahaa!

I made these for Gina K's challenges on SCS. I thought this flower would be fun in the background but it ended up being too big! lol
This was a fun shape to work with and I also used my card scents for these cards as there is the perfume bottle on them.
I got this owl rub on from a swap and thought it suited this card just right :) I can't wait for the new owl stamp set from SU to come out!!!

ok this card might look silly to you but I was really board at work one day and decided to make a card with just the things in my desk at work!!! The card base is an over sized recipe card, The flowers are post it notes and the little dots are from the refill ink for the address stamp and one of those thingies you get with bumps on it to flip through a lot of paper.

Look around your desk and make a card!!! I would love to see it!

Here is a fun card I made for a Wedding Card Swap! I used SU Shes All That I masked the flowers and inked up the girl with my Craft White then I pulled back the tape and used my markers for the flowers and ribbon. I added a white gel pen to the out side of the ribbon too :)

My Nephew got baptized on Easter Sunday! He is a young hype skater dude! So I wanted to make him a card that was fun and maybe a little funny!
Stampin' Up had these prefolded wild Wasabi paper so that is what I used for the card and then I added The Angel Company paper and the stamps are Gina K's

Lace Sparkle Tutorial

Supplies:

two sided tape in a big strip. (Cut it out a bit bigger then you need to so when you touch the edges you can cut them off as they will lose the stickiness) you will also peel off the back and stick it to a piece of white card stock.

a piece of lace

2 glitters one dark and one light

a glitter catcher or piece of paper to work on

peel off the top layer of the stickey strip (the back should be put on the card stock first) place the lace on the stickey tape and use the piece you just peeled off to pat down the lace.
spread your dark (here I used black) sparkles. then shake off the extra sparkles. then use your finger and rub the whole sheet back and forth. this is called burnishing and it will bring out the sparkle.
peel back the lace (you can use it over and over agian) and add the next colour. Here I used a light green. White is also a great contrast to the black. pat off any extra sparkles and then burnish it again.
add it to a card and Bobs your uncle you have a glitter card!

Sparkle Cards!

This card was made with my Cuttlebug! I put the flower die through my CB with double sided sticker tape! then you glitter the peddles and put them together!
This card is all about layering! I will have to do a tutorial on this soon!
This one is done to look like its been embossed. you added the top layer but dont take off the paper so you glitter the bottom (pink) part first then pull off the paper from the tape on the top layer and add another colour of sparkles!

The biggest trick to adding sparkles is after adding any colour make sure you burnish it by rubbing your finger over it all realy fast! this will make the colour and sparkle come out more and will make it all smooth to the touch :)

Next post will be a tutorial on Glitter cards with lace! woohoo! lol

B sides

SS box

I'm in a ASSS swap on SCS and it is for having a box that fits 30 gifts for the month of May and so your ASSS (Addicted to Secret Sister Swaps) can open a little gift one a day for a month! I made this box from Nugget boxes templates I found on SCS. I made it with 31 boxes so my ASSS can open one box a day!
If I make one of these again I think I would make them all on colour as this one got a bit busy with so many boxes! lol. and I would have taken the boxes out to glue the out sides together! lol. after it was all glued I realized some of the inside drawers had glued to the outsides! but I got them on stuck!This card I made to go with the box It was hard to find something that looked nice to go on top of the gifts at the bottom of the card! I tried glitter, pom-poms and at the end I used little bows! I hope my ASSS likes this and all the little things I put into the boxes!

Tea Tin

Sunny Stampin had these great Easter tutorials just before Easter! I made these for my boys for Easter! then I ended up making some for our exchange students and my niece! On the ones for my students I ended up using Flucking! I loved making these little chicks fluffy!
